Still not moved in......

Tuesday and Wednesday we have been working feverishly to help Carolyn get her house ready to move in and guess what?.....TODAY, Thursday, is the DAY!!! We finished painting late last night and now everything looks good to go. Along the way of painting, we noticed how small her laundry room was and Carolyn told us that the previous owner always wanted to knock out the back wall, which luckily was a garage closet, and then have a larger laundry area. Guess what again?.....yep, we did it. I said to Doug, lets go for it, we of course asked Jeff, and he said it is our job to do it if we wanted to, so we did and it's nearly done. I'll try to add pictures, but we forgot the before pictures. I'll see if I can figure something out to show the before look. The wall is completely enclosed now we have the flooring (luckily again, the owners had left-over tile from the house and just enough to finish the laundry room out right). We ended up painting the laundry room too because it was so small and the green/grey color, was 'cave' like to me, so I painted it white yesterday. Carolyn will just have to decorate it cutsy. Then Carolyn and I hit a storage closet, neither of which was scheduled to be painted. But it all looks nice. And today at 2pm we are starting the move!
Allan has been a big trooper to help with the boys, but I know he's ready to not be in charge of them. This morning at breakfast I asked on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 how bad did he want the boys in their new home and he said '8'. I then told him that is how much of himself he will give us today in moving them out. Hmm....he wishes he would have thought about that number a little bit more. Maybe he'd have said 3 or 4.
Okay, a funny thing happened Tuesday.
I had received a 'twitter' from saying that their corn dogs were 50 cents all day long. I decided to take Shannon and Allan for dinner after they had worked with the whole day, with boys and painting, etc. So we're at the window of the drive-in and we heard screeching brakes and a loud bang, like a car accident had just happened. Well, it was one of the carhops that had run out in front of us to deliver a meal to a parked car and he ran right into someone who was just passing through the parking lot! The tray of food went flying and the drink spilled all over the car's windshield! We were right next to them and the girl in the car looked shocked! The girl helping us at the window screamed to the guy 'Jarod, are you okay?' He was totally mortified but told us all he was okay and the thing was, he was in his 20's!! And NOT on skates!! Crazy Jarod. He probably was sore the next day.
And on top of the 'show' we got, the corn dogs were delish!!! Yum!
